Andrew started his career in the voluntary sector, working as a Welfare Rights adviser in an East London Law Centre.
Following a move to Sheffield in the 1980’s managing advice services for Sheffield City Council, Andrew then worked in Rotherham developing social policy, partnerships and neighbourhood working. He then went on to become Chief Executive of One Nottingham, working with private, voluntary and public sector partners on regeneration and neighbourhood renewal.
Andrew’s previous role in Wakefield as Corporate Director covered all services for Adults, Public Health, Community Safety and Community Development. He led the Council’s partnership working with Health, the Police and Voluntary Sector and held a number of regional local government responsibilities.
Quirky fact: Andrew was once a Stage Manager for U2
