Current role: Deputy Director - Yorkshire Sculpture Park (YSP)
Yorkshire Sculpture Park (YSP) is a not-for-profit art museum and the leading sculpture park in Europe. It exhibits work from world-leading artists in 500 acres of historic parkland, including lakes, woodland and six indoor galleries, and attracts 500,000 visitors per year. It won Art Fund Museum of the year in 2014.
Alongside her role at YSP, Helen is Chair of the Board for Greentop Circus, a board member of Leeds City Region Local Enterprise Partnership, an advisor to No Bounds Festival and on Sheffield Hallam University Humanities Employer Board.
Helen is also a member of Leeds Culture Consortium and was previously Vice Chair of Sheffield Culture Consortium.
Helen believes passionately that everyone should have access to the arts, and has championed this throughout her career of over 20 years’ working in the arts and cultural sector. She has spoken nationally and internationally on topics including the impact of engaging with the arts on people and communities, arts and wellbeing, arts and aging, and the role of the arts in place making.
