Current role: Service Director for Arts, Culture and Leisure - Wakefield Council
Julie has worked in Local Government for over 25 years, across five different local authorities of varying scale, in strategic roles across arts, culture, festivals, heritage, leisure and wellbeing. Within these roles she has been responsible for major service transformation, new capital builds and regeneration projects;
Julie is particularly passionate about wide scale partnership wellbeing programmes to help community’s engage in creativity and enjoy active and healthy lives.
Julie is an Executive board member of CLOA, Chief Culture and Leisure Officers Association, and outside of work enjoys spending time with family and friends and taking part in a wide range of culture and physical activities and has a passion for Adventure Travel
