COVID CONVERSATIONS
Five puppetry films featuring verbatim accounts of Wakefield people’s experience of the pandemic.
Bev Adams received funding from the Creative Challenge 2020 Covid projects grants to help chronicle life in Wakefield during the Coronavirus pandemic.
Bev recorded conversations with local people asking them to reflect on their unique experiences of lockdown and used 3D printed puppets to animate the stories. The project resulted in 5 short films - some funny, some sad, some poignant - about living with disability, dealing with grief, trying to celebrate Eid and recovering from Covid itself, during the time of enforced isolation.
The project has been featured in the Yorkshire Post and has received 1,815 online views with a further reach of 7,596.
