Join us at The Principal, York for a day of bespoke training for heritage organisations on the subject of finance and business management. This training is being delivered as part of our Heritage Compass training programme, which we have decided to open up to the wider heritage sector – you will join our current programme participants for a day of wider connection, discussion and learning.
Business planning is critical to building resilience and this session will support you to create or develop your business plan, and ensure it is a useful and ‘living’ tool for the organisation. The session includes tips for integrating your business plan into the work of your organisation, and how to effectively dovetail a business plan with other strategy documents.
The training will be led by Bea Udeh and Hardish Virk. Bea has 20 years experience in the cultural sector and, through her company BeaBop Productions, her portfolio includes independent arts consultancy, production, and writing; her commissioned work covers poetry, creative and critical genres. Hardish has thirty years’ experience in arts marketing and PR. He’s worked with dance, music, theatre, festivals, visual arts, cinema, museums and heritage organisations. In an audience development capacity, he has managed projects specifically aimed at developing Black, Asian and Ethnically Diverse audiences.
All participating heritage organisations should match the Heritage Compass criteria:
