Come and join a collaborative action inquiry into how local creative provision can respond to health inequalities in Wakefield.
This workshop will provide a space to share existing examples of best practice, testimonials, stories and things that have already been made e.g., films, artworks, and then to think critically about how we might work better together to respond to health inequalities in Wakefield. The thinking from these workshops will inform and catalyse the development of the Wellbeing and Inclusion workstream of the Creative Wakefield cultural compact, and follow-on research projects at the University of Huddersfield.
If you would like to submit projects in advance then please send to email@example.com
19:00 – 11:15am – Show and Tell.
Share with each other examples of practice (case studies, stories/testimonials, artefacts). Work together to curate these examples into a collective vision/narrative for creative health in Wakefield, thinking about what is being done well, what we share and where there might be opportunities to “join the dots”.
11:15 – 11:30pm – Break
11:30 – 1pm – Tackling health inequalities.
Building on the first activity we will think through where there might be gaps in provision and unmet need, and start thinking about how a consortium might work together to problem solve that with communities and what infrastructure that might need.
The session will be informal- if you aren’t able to make it for the whole afternoon you can drop-in to either part. A light lunch and refreshments will be provided.
