Trustee, Leeds Grand Theatre & Opera House Ltd

This is an exciting time to be a cultural organisation in the Leeds City Region. Following their re-opening post pandemic, Leeds grand theatre and Leeds Heritage Theatres are in an exciting phase of development, realigning their strategic principles and positioning themselves against the backdrop of major cultural festivals in the region, including Leeds 2023 and Bradford 2025.

They are currently looking for outward focused, engaged Trustees who can support in making the most of partnerships during this period and beyond, ensuring to take full advantage of the government’s levelling up agenda for the North and finding a way to thrive not just survive in a post-Covid landscape.

As the custodians of three iconic cultural venues, Leeds Grand Theatre, City Varieties Music Hall and Hyde Park Picture House, Leeds Heritage Theatres have been part of the fabric of Leeds since the oldest venue opened in 1865. They’re looking for passionate people who believe in the power of arts and culture to change lives and provide connection in an increasingly disconnected society.

You don’t need to have served as a Trustee before, the interest will be in your experience and your ability to constructively challenge, offer insights outside their knowledge and support decision making as part of the Board. Trustees should be able to commit to four full Board meetings per year and should be a member of at least one sub-committee which will meet quarterly. Full training will be given to all new Board members to support you in understanding your role.

Application Deadline 30th November 2022

Part time (trustee)

To apply send a CV and a letter outlining why you’re interested and what experience you think you can bring to our Board. You should make reference to how you would fulfil the Role Purpose and Trustee Responsibilities outlined in this pack
