Artist needed for Urban House Re-design
Posted in Opportunities
This project aims to redesign the space at Urban House Initial Accommodation Centre, for families seeking asylum in the UK, into something more welcoming and friendly. The aims are to create a series of mural and/or photography projects in the reception area, study room/library and TV lounges, to improve the wellbeing of the residents, whilst reflecting the diverse cultures of the families that stay here.
Initial consultations have been completed and the team are looking for a number of artists who are able to submit examples of their work that best showcase their style for the families to choose from. Artists will then work with the families to incorporate their chosen styles and themes into works for the following spaces (approximate dimensions show the area of the rooms). This could be murals or large scale artworks.
