Posted in Industry

We work with producers, location managers and creatives to help facilitate filming in a safe, efficient and positive way for both productions and local communities.

What We Can Help With
• Locations across urban, rural and heritage settings
• Filming on council owned land, highways and public spaces
• Coordination with council services (e.g. highways, parks, events)
• Advice on local permissions, filming notices and community liaison
• Signposting to local crew, suppliers and services (where available)

Contact
All filming enquiries should be sent to:
filmofficewakefield@wakefield.gov.uk
We aim to acknowledge enquiries as soon as possible.

Early engagement is strongly recommended—particularly for large scale productions, filming on highways, or filming that impacts residents or businesses.

Working Positively in Wakefield
Wakefield Council is committed to supporting creative industries while ensuring filming is carried out safely, respectfully and with minimal disruption to local communities. Productions are expected to comply with relevant legislation, health & safety requirements, and best practice filming guidelines.
