Wakefield Council Launch New Culture Grants

Wakefield Council are pleased to announce their new Culture Grants are now live.
The funding will support cultural, creative and heritage activity across the district. Funding is available for creatives, cultural organisations and community groups to support new artworks, projects and activities to ensure the entire district can creatively thrive.
This new programme of funding from Wakefield Council includes micro-grants of £1,000 and larger grants up to £15,000.
There are four grant streams available for arts, cultural and heritage activity:
- Culture Everywhere Micro Grants – for community groups, charities, CICs, and other non-culture organisations to run small arts and culture projects, activities, and events for their local communities.
- Made in Wakefield Small Grants – for short term or smaller scale projects, with a focus on providing support to artists and creative organisations.
- Made in Wakefield Large Grants – for significant new creative work, or larger participatory project with communities, that may have longer term impact.
- Culture for Everyone Grants – to enhance the accessibility offer and provision to cultural activities across Wakefield for D/deaf, disabled, and neurodiverse creatives, audiences, and participants.
