Meet Holly Greenwood
What I do…
I am a self employed artist and illustrator with a creative career spanning product design, freelance illustration and arts education. From creating art prints, stationary and textiles sold online and in shops, to painting large scale murals and designing bespoke commissions, everything I do is rooted in drawing and painting. Alongside my own creative practice, I also run beginner friendly art classes and community projects focused on helping people feel confident, included and inspired to get creative.
Growing up I wanted to become…
Honestly, for a long time, I never really knew exactly what job I wanted or if being an artist was a possibility. I like the idea of being a makeup artist of a photographer. I just always adored art and being creative so I knew I had to work in the arts in some capacity.
The thing that surprised me most about my career…
How much fun work can be! I know that sounds a little cheesy but work really doesn’t have to be boring. I really love what I do and I love the range of different experiences it’s given me, along with the lovely people I’ve met along the way.
The best advice anyone ever game me…
Work hard, try your best and be a nice person, you really can’t go far wrong with that.
