Meet Nat Bellingham
Theatre Maker and Performer
What I do…
I’m a theatre maker, performer and creative facilitator. I’ve been making and touring my own work across the UK for the last 15 years. I’m also a street theatre performer, giggle doctor and I’m currently touring my first solo show Look After Your Knees.
Growing up I wanted to become…
A witch, interior designer, florist, jewelry designer, dog walker, nurse, public relations officer, there was a brief period of time where I thought I might join the army or police, and an actor. Throughout all of it though performing was always the thing I felt at home doing. I just didn’t always know if it would be possible for me to do as a job.
The thing that surprised me most about my career…
Street theatre and clowning came into my life a little by accident and these two things and all the people I have met through these things have shaped my career.
The best advice anyone ever gave me…
I’ll give you my top 3! Stay light. Be curious and remember perfection is the enemy of the good (this was my friend Jamie not Churchill!).
