Jessica Grady

Embroidery artist, textile designer + workshop tutor/lecturer

What I do:

I create colourful and contemporary hand stitched 3D sculptures and wall art. I utilise recycled materials to create my own embellishments. I have a zero waste approach with all offcuts being recycled into new works. I have created embroidery designs as an artist and a freelance designer for the textile industry. My work has been exhibited across the UK, Europe and Asia. I also teach various workshops and community projects for education, private groups, charities and individuals.

What creative opportunities I'm looking for:

Creative Workshops
Lecturing opportunities
Skill sharing within education settings
CPD for textile/art teachers
Exhibiting Opportunities
Community Engagement Project’s + Commissions

My proudest moment:

In 2018 I was awarded the Under 30’s Scholar Award by the Embroiderers Guild a national award for textile practitioners. In 2020 I travelled across to Japan to exhibit as a guest artist for the Tokyo International Great Quilt Festival as an ambassador with Art Textiles: Made in Britain.

My dream creative collaboration:

Anything that pushes the boundaries and scales of what is expected with embroidery and textiles!
