Niall Deakin

Senior Web Developer

What I do:

I’m a web developer by trade, a hobbiest games designer, and work with my team to produce web-based solutions for businesses in and around the UK.
These range from the humble website, to hosting (email, domain, etc.) and mobile apps.

What steps I took to get where I am now:

It all began in the middle of high-school. I was interested in computers and videogames, and those interests led me to web design, development, and then on to college and university to study games design.

After graduating, I got a job within web design and development, and then started my own company from there.

What creative opportunities I'm looking for:

To create websites and apps using new and exciting technologies, as well as use those skills and my love of fiction to create videogames to inspire and entertain people.

My proudest moment:

My proudest moment is usually when I’ve finished an overwhelming project, or managed to figure out a particularly tricky problem, and having that acknowledged.

What does Wakefield mean to me?
Growing up around Wakefield, I have a strong connection to Yorkshire. I also did some youth work within the city center for a few years, and met quite a range of interesting people and could see the raw talent just waiting for an opportunity.
