Marketing & Content Trainee for Creative Wakefield & summer s'cool

What I do:

I am currently a Marketing & Content Trainee for Creative Wakefield and summer s’cool, working to promote and enhance Wakefield’s creative community and inspire creativity amongst local young people.

What steps I took to get where I am now:

My concept of creativity has been shaped by the projects and publications I have been involved with over the last few years.

I have volunteered as a historical researcher for Dream Time Creative’s Forgotten Women of Wakefield Project since 2018, leading the research that got Lady Catherine Milnes Gaskell a blue plaque in Thornes Park. I then got involved with Wakefield Literature Festival, run by young people, for young people, through recording a podcast about her life. After learning about the work LitFest did, I joined the programme board and have helped conceive, organise and deliver the subsequent two festivals in 2021 and 2022.

What creative opportunities I'm looking for:

Marketing, coordination, heritage and literary opportunities. My love for unconventional creativity means that I’m continually willing to learn and keen to try out anything and everything within the creative sector.

My proudest moment:
