Toni Stephenson

Communications Administrator at Unlimited (she/her)

What I do:

Support and lead on the day-to-day communication administration. I deal with general enquiries, proof reading, communication planning, copy writing, asset creation and our CRM and CMS databases.

What steps I took to get where I am now:

I graduated the University of Leeds with a BA in History in 2020 and again with an MA in International Journalism, both of which inspired my love for telling stories of culture and local heritage.

Marketing & Content Trainee for Creative Wakefield and summer s’cool – Working to promote and enhance Wakefield’s creative community and inspire creativity amongst local young people.

Programme Board Member for Wakefield Literature Festival – Planning, coordinating and delivering literary opportunities and events for young people ages 14-25.

Volunteer Researcher for the Forgotten Women of Wakefield Project – working towards reaching blue plaque gender parity in Wakefield.

I also have a qualification in Creative Peer-to-peer Facilitation.

What creative opportunities I'm looking for:

Marketing, coordination, heritage and literary opportunities. My love for unconventional creativity means that I’m continually willing to learn and keen to try out anything and everything within the creative sector.

My dream creative collaboration:

with the V&A Museum.

What does Wakefield mean to me?
Creativity! Creativity in the Wakefield district isn’t something new. It’s actually built into our DNA. It’s as central to the development of the district as the old textile mills and the mining shafts.
