KateWatson
Creative Consultant
I’ve worked in the arts and cultural sector for over 18 years and I’m passionate about engaging artists & creative professionals in helping to make great places and innovatively engaging communities with their towns and neighbourhoods. I have instigated, fundraised for & managed a range of creative programmes including temporary & permanent public art commissions for private and public-sector clients, creative community engagement programmes & training opportunities for proffessionals.
I studied a Fine Art for Design degree at Batley School of Art and my first job was an apprenticeship at Performing Arts Development Service in Barnsley which quickly turned into an Assistant Project Manager role. I then went on to work for Beam and since 2016 I have been self employed working on a range of creative projects.
Opportunities that bring communities together to create experiences – temporary & permanent that help to enhance and understand the places where we live.
