Safety Manager/ Officer for events

What I do:

Experienced Risk Management Consultant – Health & Safety and Fire Safety professional with 15+ years experience of Event Safety Management both corporate and outdoor events. Experienced in managing all safety aspects from small commercial events to 5000+ attendance events at major arenas and outdoor venues. Qualified First Aider and terrorism awareness/ response trained with 12 years Street Angels Duty Manager experience in addition.

What steps I took to get where I am now:

Qualified as an Insurance Broker before specialising in Risk Management in a Broking environment and then starting RTIS in 2000 later developing an event speciality in 2006.

What creative opportunities I'm looking for:

Event Safety Management any event from micro to major

An unexpected thing about me:

I’m also an authorised Lay Worship Leader in the Church of England and Event Manager at Dewsbury Minster

My proudest moment:

All the events I’ve worked on from music festivals to large corporate events to UK Premiers of international artists to arts festivals – every one is brilliant in its own way

My dream creative collaboration:

Any creative event that required a Safety aspect – basically that’s all public events
